PHIL 101: Morals and Society: An Introduction to Ethics
Introduces issues of social and individual values, obligations, rights, and responsibilities. Course will cover normative theories and their applications to business, medicine, ethics and sexual relations.(Letter and Audit Grade only.)
Basic reading and writing skills, computer access and literacy.
PHIL 102: Introduction to Philosophy: Asian Traditions
ENG 22 with grade C or better, or placement at ENG 100, or consent.
PHIL 109: Reasoning and Critical Thinking
PHIL 110: Introduction to Logic
ENG 100 with grade C or better, or consent.
PHIL 301: Ethical Theory
Investigates problems and methods in theory of moral conduct and decision-making. Discusses primary source materials, meta-ethics, and normative theories as well as applied ethics.
ENG 100, and ENG 200 or 316 or PHIL 100, 101, 102, or 110, both with grade C or better, or consent.
PHIL 323: Professional Ethics
Examines major ethical theories and principles relevant to decision-making in professional situations. Includes experiential and self-reflective methodologies as well as theoretical perspectives.
ENG 200, ENG 209, or ENG 225, any with grade C or better; or consent.
