Introduces the learner to assessment and common interventions (including relevant technical procedures) for care of child and family. In this course the child and family are the clients and are viewed in both health and illness. Nursing practice is guided by combinations of family theories and associated assessment tools. Clinical practice guidelines and/or standardized procedures in normal developmental processes of the family and in disease and illness are considered in relationship to their impact on providing culturally sensitive, client-centered care. (Letter grade only.)

NURS 220T with grade C or better.
