Seeks to bridge the health sciences and anthropology by focusing on how social and environmental factors affect health. Explores alternative ways of understanding and treating disease. Includes ethno-medicine, the traditional healing and health practices of a selection of cultures, paleopathology, epidemiology, and human adaptation.
