Introduces the foundations of analytical techniques that involve aggregating data for the purpose of collecting evidence, building timelines, and analyzing capabilities to perform and design a proactive cybersecurity strategy that detects, analyzes, and mitigates cyber threats. Uses data from a variety of cyber defense tools to analyze events that occur within their environments for the purposes of mitigating threats. Utilizes Python programming, Machine Learning models, and other tools and technologies. (Letter grade only)

Prerequisites

ICS 169 and ICS 173, both with grade C or better, or consent.
