All classes require students to spend out-of-class time, as well as in-class time for in-person classes. In-person classes expect that for each 1 credit, students spend 1 hour of in-class time and 2 hours out-of-class time. For a typical 3-credit class, students attend 3 hours/week of class time, and spend 6 hours of out-of-class time on class work. Online classes combine these hours for a total of 9 hours/week spent on each 3-credit course. This policy is in alignment with the UHCC 5.228 Credit Hour policy.
